Here’s a pithy statement about this:

“He allowed people to express their racism and bigotry in a way that they haven’t been able to in quite a while and they really love him for that. It’s a shocking thing to realise people love their hatred more than they care about their own actual lives. The hatred – what is that about? It’s a fear of your own weakness.”

It’s exactly what happened in the UK over Brexit. They stopped the programmes that would allow young people to travel and broaden their outlook and love people who’d grown up in different countries. They despised people who wanted those things, for themselves of their kids.

These are all valid points about MAGA & Co. However, the libs, in all their short sighted adulation of Biden and the hapless Democrats, laid the groundwork for the emergence of Trump and the rabid right. So here we are!!!!!

I agree. Sometimes, I have to put that point way into the background or it will open a whole new can of worms.

It's not hard to admire someone with integrity and empathy and who wants everyone to share in good things, not just the elite!

Bitingly on the point. You totally nailed the subtle hues by which idiocracy expresses itself.

The problem is that the left is blindly ignorant and obscenely arrogant. Leftists think the whole world is the way the imagine it to be. It isn't. The left consists of fools, and spiteful liars and deceivers who get off on hurting the innocent, especially kids. We're done with your bullshit concern-trolling, we're done with your lies. We can prove to you white is white and black is black, but it doesn't matter. You're an ideology of hate wearing a human skin-suit. Leftists are programmed to respond to specific stimuli and the fact that we're done with your shit is quite the slap in the face.

The Marxist arc of history has been rejected. For the next 60 to 100 years, societies will grow more traditionalist, and more conservative over time, and leftism will collapse. Either perform a good retreating-action now, or all the "rights" the Left has gained over the last century will be lost. Stop being obnoxious irredeemable monsters before it's too late.

This is so spot on. The idea of the liberal media cabal, seemingly headed by Rachel Maddow, is so interesting, because I think this ongoing, willfully ignorant spite is engendered by the MAGA media cabal. We have a president who makes proclamations of “fact” by screaming into social media, not through official channels based on anything actually factual. We have a news network (Fox) whose past pundits have admitted that its sole goal is to manipulate Americans, especially older ones. We have a MAGA base born of right wing podcasts and shouting into a void. When does the rest of the sane world go after the MAGA media cabal? Cut the snake’s head off. It seems like we have to rebuild the citizenry from there. And get the white nationalists out of office. Oof.

Heart-breakingly beautiful perspective, thank you for sharing. The image of MAGA as Wily E. Coyote is a powerful one … as accurate as it is comically tragic.

Excellent and heartbreaking piece.

The only part I question is this...

"Eventually, they’ll come to see the loss of their future as the price they had to pay to own the libs."

Unless Fox News tells them, I doubt most of them will ever come to see this.

They will stay willfully ignorant to their Graves.

Just a thought.

Well done!

J.

Also, thought it was a great insight separating the elite liberals from the rest of us who get hit by the train, very true!

I doubt you've actually talked to anyone MAGA. Trump's bill did not take any gov benefits from legal citizens, which you'd know if you did even the most basic of research. I doubt there are many MAGAs who are illegal immigrants.

FYI MAGA is the moderate wing of regular conservatives. So you've got some surprises coming up.
