It’s the “sometimes appear ‘normal’” that I struggle with, but the older I get, the fewer fucks I give about what others who’ve demonstrated their ignorance, cowardice, and/or lack of broad-scale empathy think.
In fact, I’m pretty much all of those fucks these days 🤣
My wife & young adult kids are also well on their way to depleting the remainders in their own fuckstores: I honestly envy my kids a bit (but mostly I’m fiercely proud about) for how few fucks they’ve *ever* had, how comfortable they already are with casting out the few that remain, and how strong they’ve been making that journey despite so much peer & cultural pressure to conform ❤️
