This is so true!! Nobody wants their current belief system challenged. I live among upper class people in New York. Highly educated, successful and absolutely in denial about our world and refusing to think or consider anything

outside the headlines in The NY Times and/or WSJ. I find it maddening. Close-minded in their bubble with no critical thinking.

Ok Jessica. I am not a paid subscription who follows your work all that closely, but this is probably the best article I have read by you (or almost anyone TBH) on the political side of this "polycrisis".

Constant uproar and distraction among the masses is now a key government policy, like the ICE raids or "weapons of mass destruction " lies. Thank you for your honesty.

Well, I’m pretty sure the zeitgeist is trending toward some very serious violence. It’s not what I want to hear, but it seem inevitable and unavoidable at this point.
