Thank you so much for this Jessica. I really appreciate your hard work. Packed with useful (verified!) information. It’s going onto my external hard drive to keep forever ;-)

This is an amazing amount of research, Jessica. I want to keep sight of the fact that, in our "advanced" nation, we should be able to look to experts in our health departments to provide us with science-based guidance like this. You are stepping up to fill the gap. As you mentioned, we should also have vaccines available, as we did just a couple of years ago! As a scientist, my "anger and frustration meter" is pinned beyond 10 at the idiocy of those in the Federal government.

I will be upgrading to a paid subscription. Thank you!

Thanks! I'm glad people are seeing this as stepping up to carry the load our public health institutions have shrugged off. Sharing your frustration. It's a constant load.

I sent you a pertinent message about this that I think you’ll be interested in. You were right all along about everything COVID-related and so many among the masses weren’t.

I'm glad your daughter is recovering well, and you didn't contract it again.

My HOCl generator arrived today, I'm very excited about it!! I bought it based on your recommendation and research, thank you for how much work you put into your essays.

I am a huge believer in Force of Nature to clean and disinfect. I had not thought about putting it in a humidifier; will definitely research more.

Anecdotally, no one else got COVID when my son did. We have air purifiers throughout and opened windows. We also used Covixyl and Xlear.

So pleased for you and your family Jessica. I’ll definitely be following these treatment suggestions.

A question for all UK based people- can anyone recommend a good HOCI home generator that’s available here? There doesn’t seem to be a lot of choice, and virtually no reviews to go off of. Thank you all!

Some other people have asked similar questions. It's a tough thing to wrangle with because I don't want to mention a product that I haven't used or at least feel pretty confident about bringing up by name. If anyone else has ideas, let me know. I don't know if Eco One ships overseas directly from their site. Maybe?

Wondering if you are beginning to grow / forage and process any of those supplements yourself? St. John’s wort, echinacea, oregano, garlic, turmeric, and kudzu either grow abundantly in the wild where I live, or we are growing them deliberately. Interesting on the star anise; I learned from a knowledgeable teacher that the component there is also found in the seeds you shake out of sweetgum tree seed pods. Anyway, much food for thought. Thank you!

If you buy the already made HOCL at 500ppm (I couldn't find any that was less than that concentration) what should you before adding it to the water in a humidifier?

Thank you, Jessica. We all have to protect our own health. I shared a post today - the most vulnerable, likely controversial, and potentially banned (does that happen here?) piece I have ever written - and it is related to Covid in a big way. Those of us who learned - and continue to learn - from that experience have our eyes wide open and new ways to cope.

I’m confused about the difference between an HOC1 generator and a humidifier. I mean, I know the difference between a generator and a humidifier, and they are different, but you seem to use them interchangeably here.

As I understand it, they used an HOCl (lower case L) generator to make HOCl and then added the HOCl to water for the humidifier. Then the humidifier puts out a cool mist of water droplets containing HOCl.

Oh, I was thinking like a generator to power things, like a Jackery or Eco Flow. Thanks for setting me straight on that, and on the acronym HOCl. I was confused about that, too!

The exact words from the article:

"We bought a HOCl generator and used that (instead of water) in humidifiers for several hours a day, and a few hours at night."

A little bit later:

"You can buy HOCl generators online. A lot of people recommend the Eco One or the Force of Nature generators [...] Pour the HOCl into a good cool mist humidifier, and you’re good to go."

It looks like some places are selling "HOCl humidifiers" now, but they're just humidifiers that have a built-in HOCl generator.

I’m really glad everyone seems to be ok, and I appreciate your effort documenting all this! I’ve been learning about hypochlorous acid since my eye doctor started recommending I use it on my eyes last year for a couple different long-term eye issues I have. At first it sounds sort of scary, and I even took pause when I smelled faintly like bleach. But as I researched it, it does seem like it has untapped potential.

I hope your daughter heals up fully and quickly!
